Roosevelt Hosts First Urban Debate League Tournament of Season

 

 

What:   Roosevelt HS Urban Debate League Tournament

When:  Friday, November 7th, 2003 from 4pm to 10pm, and Saturday, November 8th from             8am to 7pm

Who:   Debate Teams From the Seattle UDL and Around the State

            Volunteer judges & mentors

Where: Roosevelt High School, 1410 NE 66th St. Seattle, WA 98115

 

 

The Seattle Debate Foundation and the Roosevelt High School debate team will co-host the first Seattle Urban Debate League (UDL) tournament of the year.  The tournament will feature the best debate teams from the Seattle UDL and other schools from the Seattle area. 

 

The tournament will feature six debate rounds of Cross-Examination style policy debate and Lincoln/Douglas “value” debate.  There will be three debate rounds on Friday and Three on Saturday.  The tournament will also feature three rounds of Individual Events on Saturday. 

 

Parents and other UDL supporters are invited to observe debates throughout the weekend.  Signs will be posted directing observers to the tournament headquarters.  All visitors must check in with the tournament administration.
